The Dartmouth PigDogs Rugby Football Club
We are a family of rugby people. Our main focus of the club is to play Rugby in the Nova Scotia Rugby Union. We formed as a club in 2002 playing exhibition games for the first summer. We joined the union in 2003 and started playing league matches.
The Men’s Team plays 2nd division in the summer and fall leagues. We train during the summer months behind Prince Andrew High School in Dartmouth every Monday and Wednesday at 6 pm. During the winter months.
The Ladies Team plays 2nd division in the summer league. We train during the summer months behind Prince Andrew High School in Dartmouth every Tuesday and Thursday at 6 pm.
Both clubs play their home games on the Burnside grass pitch in front of Leons.
The PigDogs are well known for their social escapades and can be found year round spreading the gospel of rugby and enjoying life with good friends. You can find us after most practice sessions and home games at Dave Doolittle's Sports bar and Grill where we have the PigDog corner. Come in and see the many social and action photos positioned throughout the ceiling tiles. The PigDogs have a great relationship with Molson. They have proven to be a great supporter of the club and supplier of many great beers. A&H Reality is our third main sponsor to the PigDogs and has shown the club great support over the years. In 2008, we welcomed Q104 radio on board as a major sponsor. They not only support us, but give us the best morning show on radio and the best rock and roll of the Atlantic. We encourage all our supporters to support the ones who support us.
