1 - When did you join the PigDogs and why?

- I was fortunate enough to be one of the original members. A bunch of high school kids wanted to play rugby and they needed an old fat guy to help them.

2 - What do you enjoy about Rugby?

- I've enjoyed playing rugby since 1979 and I discovered early on that there was a bond amongst all rugby players. A respect for one another that separates us from other sports. It's just one of the great things about the game and the people who play it.

3 - Other clubs you've played for?

- I began playing in Victoria, B.C. but returned home to Nova Scotia and became one of the original members with the Windsor Warriors. After a couple of  years, they folded and I took up with the Dartmouth Saracens. A couple of years later, I began playing with the Halifax Tars, who I played for into the 90's. I've played for many teams in tournaments and pick up matches over the years.

4 - What have been some of your highlights?

- The greatest accomplishment is playing for the same club that my daughter plays for. That's pretty cool. I was lucky enough the represent Nova Scotia four times, but the best road trip so far was to Northern Ireland in 2006. What a great time.

5 - What other sports do you play?

- I play hockey, squash, badminton, curling, and soccer and I love hiking and fishing.

6 - Who is your favorite PigDog?

- It's obvious that my true favorite is my daughter, Riley, but I live by our motto "Teaglach". I have much respect for all but Chris Kingwell and Barb MacDonald stand out and I'm always saying that Davin is what the club is all about.  Michelle, Sarah, Tracey and Sean all play an important role with the club, but all members  have something to offer one another which makes for great Teaglach.

7 - What's the best part about being a PigDog?

- The pride we have in being a PigDog.

8 - Who is your favorite club to play against?

- I love playing against the Tars and Pictou. I see many of the old boys that I played with and against standing on the side line wondering why I'm still playing.

9 - What's your favorite PigDog event?

- I enjoy the Give-R's because it's always a chance to see the family during the off season, but the year end banquet is great because we get to celebrate ourselves.

10 - Where would you like to see the Pigdogs take a Road trip to?

- Taking the LPD to Disney in May will be incredible, but hopefully the entire club can travel to Ulster Nation (Northern Ireland) in 2010.

Anything you would like to add?

- The club has highs and lows like all clubs, but when it all boils down to it, the Dartmouth PigDogs R.F.C. is an amazing club to be apart of.
